SESSIONS at The Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach

Updated: Jul 23, 2019

A few weeks ago, my family and I stayed the weekend in Daytona Beach. We were excited to stay at the Hard Rock Hotel which is absolutely gorgeous and has THE most beautiful view of the ocean. I love the fun laid back vibe of the hotel and you really don't expect anything less from the brand HARD ROCK. However...I was BLOWN AWAY at how amazing the food was at their restaurant SESSIONS.

We have all eaten at the Hard Rock Cafe before and it's delicious, but SESSIONS is something unexpected. We ate there breakfast lunch AND dinner. I wish I didn't dive right in to ALL of my meals or I'd have more pictures to share. I was super impressed with their MENU.

My favorite meal each day by FAR, was breakfast. I was in heaven with my beautiful view of the ocean sitting at one of their dining tables by the water. I ordered Avocado toast the first morning. It was not only GORGEOUS, but amazingly delicious with heirloom tomato, cilantro, sliced red onion with a balsamic reduction on pullman multigrain bread and it is TO DIE FOR. This picture perfect start to y day came in around 13 bucks which isn't terrible at all and totally worth it.

Later that day, my husband and I shared the Chicken Tandori wrap. This sandwich has roasted chicken with a mint cucumber raita, served on naan bread for about 14 bucks. We split the wrap originally because we have an 8 year old that didn't want to get out of the pool so we were taking turns going back and forth. I was sure he ate the entire thing after about 20 minutes. He said " You have to come try this...it's AMAZING!" He was right, it was so good I ordered it again the next day for lunch as well. This time...I didn't split it. I ate the entire thing and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We tried the burger and shrimp as well and their hush puppies I could eat by the bucket full. I don't think they actually serve them in that size, but it would be great if they did.

Last time we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel over New Years, my husband ordered the Firecracker Mac N Cheese and I believe he talked about it the rest of the night. They won me over when I saw that they used Cavatappi pasta ( Which is my favorite ) They added grilled chicken and a three cheese sauce with red pepper flakes. Look out because you will definitely want to wrap a towel around your waist when you're finished eating this one. It's nothing that one of their amazing cocktails can't make better. A few of those and you'll be as confident as a super model.

This time, however, he ordered a seafood pasta dish for dinner that I didn't get a picture of and I'm not really sure what was in it because he ate it so fast. ( We were all starving after a day on the beach) I had a fish sandwich and I believe I ate it as fast as they brought it so ...sorry no picture of that either. If you want to find his pasta on the menu, it's the SEAFOOD LINGUINI which then menu says has lobster meat, scallops and shrimp in a calvados cream sauce. I'm not sure my husband knew what was in it, but he loved it and finished the entire dish in about 7 minutes.

I had the MARKET FISH SANDWICH with pickled cucumbers, a spicy remoulade sauce served on a Portuguese roll.

The next morning I ALMOST ordered the Avocado Toast again...but then something on the menu caught my eye. If you know me at all...you know that my favorite breakfast in the WHOLE wide world is lox and cream cheese on a bagel. I don't eat bagels very much unless it's a special occasion which is why I was SO excited to see that SESSIONS had a version of it on whole grain rye bread. This was lox and cream cheese on steroids!

They call theirs the SMOKED SALMON TARTINE with herbed cream cheese, capers and dill on a danish rye bread and YES it's as amazing as it sounds. My father ordered the pancakes because we saw them come out of the kitchen for another table and OMG they looked amazing. Amazing they were...I could have eaten 10 of them.

Needless to say the food was OUT of this world and if you are ever lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous hotel, there is no need to travel outside of the premises for food because you have everything you need at SESSIONS.

OH! Their wine is delicious too. I had lots of that as well.
